Ace Frehley is God

Oh, yes…..
Okay, Let Me See If I Have This Right…
September 21, 2007
Even if it means losing my job or my life, I’m supposed to jump into an unknown stretch of water where two children have already come to grief – in order to save this woman’s son.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/7006412.stm
Her daughter almost drowned while swimming in a large, murky pond and her son jumped in to try and save her. The woman, Tracy Ganderton, insists that two people who were not trained to deal with incidents of this nature, perhaps couldn’t swim and had no idea where in the lake the boy was, should be named, shamed and lose their jobs because they didn’t risk life and limb to follow her two kids into the water.
She says in a futile attempt at logic “[a] 10 year old lickle (sic) boy wasn’t trained and he jumped in”.
Yes – and drowned!
Perhaps it would be a better idea if she had trained her kids not to go swimming in unknown water in the first place.
I myself have saved two people from drowning and maybe I would have tried to save this boy, but it’s her absolute insistence that everyone should have done so regardless that pisses me off.
Today…I Relearned How To Tie My Laces
September 18, 2007
And one simple change has saved me from the annoyance of having to retie them when they come undone on a regular basis.
Visit Ian’s Shoelace Site and straighten up yer Granny Knots!
I also had my arm licked by this lovely Dutch Fresian cow.
I Got A Result on The Feminax Issue
September 14, 2007
In THIS post, I detailed the changes made to the drug Feminax which many women rely on to help them cope with severe period cramps and how the packaging and name of the altered drug had remained almost exactly the same, causing many women to unwittingly buy a product which no longer met their needs.
As a follow up, I have now received a written response to my enquiry to the MHRA in which they explained that a committee of people had decided that hyoscine wasn’t having any beneficial effect and was to be removed from the drug. (I’m wondering how many users of Feminax were on the panel and guessing none).
They did, however agree with me that the packaging was a potential issue, said that no-one had pointed it out before and assured me they would discuss that too and get back to me.
GMTV, The McCanns and Impartiality
September 14, 2007
Just read a very interesting article by Neil Midgely about Ppphhiona Phillips and The McCanns, (yes those ones). I can barely stand Phillips and her nasal whine at the best of times, let alone in the morning and at her most sycophantic. So glad I missed this.
Scary Thing Happened Involving Time
September 14, 2007
I just logged onto the net this morning and the first thing I always do is load my Firefox live bookmarks from the BBC news site to read all the main headlines from around the world. This morning I clicked on news links which struck me as familiar – Turkish hijacking ends, demoilition starts at blaze hotel etc.. I then realised that all the items were dated 18th August 2007.
I was using a program called Gran Paradiso, which some of you will recognise as an Alpha version of the Firefox 3 browser, which I’ve been testing for a while. So I thought maybe GP was just making like early version software and tried Firefox instead. The problemo was still there. Then I realised how dependent we are on the outside world singing from the same hymnsheet as us!
Still haven’t figured out what was causing it.
Oh Godddd…..I Miss Jeremy!
September 9, 2007
I’m in The Netherlands with my partner for a wee while, and am having serious withdrawals from my daily fix of The Jeremy Kyle Show. It occurred to me that maybe I could watch the shows on his web site, and I discovered that this is the case, IF I were in the UK!
I tried various hacks to find a workaround, to no avail, but there are some of his shows on YouTube…..
Happy Bunny Me.
