“A gay man who was assaulted by two girls close to Trafalgar Square has died in hospital. BBC reports that 62 year old Ian Baynham was punched and kicked to the ground on September 25, his death caused by head injuries. His life support was switched off on Tuesday.

A 30 year old man who was with him also suffered minor injuries.

Police said that Bayman and his friend were verbally abused by a woman when they got off a bus late one night in Central London. When Bayman went to reason with her he was attacked by her and her two friends, a man and another woman.

The two blonde teenage girls screamed homophobic insults while kicking him as he lay helpless. CCTV footage shows them laughing after the attack.

Detective Chief Inspector Alexis Boon said, “This was a vicious homophobic attack on two men who had done nothing more than come into central London to enjoy a night out and were verbally abused and assaulted within minutes of getting off the bus.”

It’s views like those of Jan Moir which make attacks like this more likely.

…outside a gay bar in Liverpool city centre.

Four boys from the Kirkdale area, one aged 17, two aged 15 and one 14, have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The officer is in hospital with multiple skull fractures and fractures of his eye-socket and cheek bone. His condition was described as “very critical”.

This is to give the Press Complaints Commission BALLS!

Sign it or else! ;)

…to stop British Airways from offering their passengers a free copy of the Daily Mail (Gaily Male!) which allowed

this

disgustingly homophobic and just plain offensive article by the repulsive Jan Moir, published on the day the young man was due to be buried.

So, if you are against homophobia or were disgusted by Jan Moir referring to Stephen Gately’s life and death as “sleazy” and her web editor calling it “sordid”…OR you just respect women…

DON’T READ THE METRO!

A menu on the computer in their squad cars showed the offence, which only applied to drivers of commercial lorries. However, on 39 separate occasions over 3 years, officers charged drivers of private cars with the offence and fined them $204.

Why did none of them say to themselves, “WTF kind of offence is this?” and investigate further? Or think, “now why could it possibly be an offence to drive a car whilst being unable speak English in a city with a population that is 42% Hispanic?” You know, something along those lines!

When one woman, Ernestina Mondragon, refused to accept the fine and took it further, the mistake was uncovered and the police have now apologised.

BTW, The US doesn’t have an official language!

More good news.

The number of complaints recieved by the PCC has risen to over 25 000. I really hope the complainants succeed as legitimised homophobia has to be nipped in the bud. A man was recently kicked to death by three teenagers, two of them female FGS, purely because he was gay. More homophobia means more deaths.

FantonEsquire on Twitter, which I never read, BTW, wants to buy up the Mail and rename it the Gaily Male!

Comptons Cycles say they are “Big enough to count, small enough to care”!

I deleted my previous post about Compton’s’ Cycles. However, I am still annoyed that Compton’s said I shouldn’t have waited in for a parcel that was supposed to arrive because there was a postal strike that day. There was NO Royal Mail strike on 15th October. It’s just such an unprofessional and pointless thing to say and do, blaming the customer for their failings.

To summarise what this was about – I ordered something from Compton’s Cycles, chose a delivery date, but had no contact about it. The delivery date came and went, with no item and more no contact, I emailed them and asked what was up and they replied that my order had been declined as they didn’t have any left and why did I stay in waiting for a parcel anyway when there are mail strikes on! This email should have been sent after I placed my order, minus placing the blame on me!

And Chris Compton asks “what more do you expect?”

Well, where do you want me to start?

Compton’s Cycles state that they didn’t stay in business for 35 years by giving poor service. Perhaps they think they have never given poor service because when they do, they just refuse to acknowledge it and blame, instead, the customer and the postal service.

Anyway, this shall forever after be referred to around these parts as WhyStayInGate.

I tried to order the same item from another retailer after this happened and the next day I got a lovely professional email telling me that they had none left in stock and that the web site was wrong and they were very sorry. That’s how you do it, Comptons!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1220657/Boyzone-new-tattoo-tributes-Stephen-Gately-police-reveal-final-hours.html

The love and respect he engendered in his bandmates is clear as they spend the entire night with his body in an Irish church. His Mum said he didn’t like to be alone, so they accompanied his coffin back from Spain, where he died and sat in an all-night vigil with him…

He was a sweet, vivacious, young man who was cruelly robbed of his life too early. God bless his partner Andrew. My heart goes out to him.

You think the love felt between gay people is any less than that between heterosexuals? No.

Requiescant in pace, sweet boy.

It’s by the unrepentant Jan Moir, who subtly suggests that it’s really only gays who are upset about her article:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1220756/A-strange-lonely-troubling-death–.html

I need to point out that, due to the huge uproar this disgusting piece of speculation has caused online, the title of the article was changed from this:

“JAN MOIR: Why there was nothing ‘natural’ about Stephen Gately’s death. Our columnist asks why no-one will face up to the sordid reality of the Boyzone star’s demise.”

…within hours of publication, once the paper realised that people were outraged by it.

Absolutely poisonous. The man’s body hadn’t even been repatriated when she wrote this.

The web site of the Press Complaints Commission actually crashed and if you go there, they have created a special link just for people to complain about this article. As far as I know, this is unprecedented and it heartens me that so many Brits have taken the trouble to complain about the article to the body that can actually do something about it. And, believe me, it is not just gay people who are upset by this.

Jan Moir’s belief that Stephen died because he was gay and that his lifestyle killed him, is directly akin to saying women who dress a certain way deserve to get raped.
