I do believe this is a horrible act that some women are going to because there are so many other choices to getting a child. ADOPT PEOPLE! There are so many children out there that don’t have a family, love, or care for them so why not adopt. I had been told that i was very unlikely to have a child, my cousin and I both due to ovary problems as teenagers, we had made the choice we were going to move in together and get our careers going and adopting a few kids but than I was blessed with my first son, Ethan and instead somebody that faked a pregnancy wanted to try and take MY son! I had problems through my pregnancy with my son and I was scared I was going to loose him throughout my pregnancy so once I was kidnapped there was no way in heck I was going to allow somebody to harm me or my baby. So women out there that are reading this that have been told they can’t have babies and want one very badly, 1 you might get blessed like my cousin and I have, or 2 ADOPT!!!!! There are to many kids out there without families. If I had the money to adopt I would, may change now that I’ve gotten past some of my fears and I’m persuing my dreams but seriously ADOPT!!! God Bless you all.

I think this is where many of the men who grumbled about this are making a mistake. The cup size of a bra is not the same as the whole a man’s underwear. What is the same is the bit their “bits” fit into….So, if this extra cost applied to men, it would affect those with big “bits” as opposed to those with big butts!

There would be a global outcry if retailers charged better-endowed men more for their underwear!!! Johnstones4Justice?

I am not sympathising with Ros Figg. Nowhere in this post do I say that or imply it. Unlike you, I read the original article critically and chose my words accordingly.

I don’t need to read two sides of the story to be angered by a social worker treating a confused, elderly woman in this manner. Your side of the story is just as one-sided as the BBC’s, but this has just gone wayyyyy over your head.

I think more critical reading will stand you in better stead in future. The text in italics is lifted directly from the BBC news web site and the words are not mine. And anyway, how dare you state as a matter of FACT that I’ve only read one side of the story? You have not a single solitary clue what I’ve read. Clearly, understanding this blog is a bit ambitious for you.

You’ve only read one side of the story.

Ros Figg removed her mother from the care home soley because she wanted to preserve her inheritance – she was upset about her mother’s money being used to pay the £1000 a week care home fees. Betty has advanced dementia and requires specialist care, which Ros has been unable to provide. She has been left sitting in her own faeces for hours on end because her daughter is unable to lift her and bathe her. She also has pressure sores from being left sat in one position for so long.

Social services only ever remove an elderly person if there is an immediate risk of death or serious harm. Ros Figg should be prosecuted, not sympathised with.
